Johanna Koester is Program Director of Open Cloud Technology for IBM with global responsibility for strategy and management of IBM’s Open Cloud Technology initiative. She is an outspoken advocate for the power of Open Technologies for Cloud as she manages a global team that works across international open source and standards organizations to foster development of the next generation of Open Cloud Technology to drive interoperability and speed of innovation for our clients. She has the great pleasure of working with organizations such as the OpenStack Foundation, Cloud Foundry, Docker and more to help promote adoption of their respective technologies. In her prior life at IBM, she held leadership roles in the Retail industry from development to marketing strategy. She holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Math and well as an MBA.
